Crosshairs supports the OPC's mission to promote interoperability in industrial automation and its associated multi-vendor enterprise systems. By standardizing open specifications shared by different systems and devices, the OPC Foundation helps to make data processing simpler and more efficient. This allows developers to focus on improving the effectiveness of their system, rather than having to ensure it can communicate with other systems and devices.

The drive for interoperability, transparency and cost-effective are all key principles behind the success of Crosshairs Embedded, so joining the OPC Foundation has been a logical move. The Foundation has over 300 members from around the world, including nearly all the world's major providers of control systems, instrumentation, and process control systems.
